Thanks. Still need a bit more practice with the welder but I'm getting there.
Hoping to have it bead blasted and blued relatively soon.
I'm a little worried though that it will look bad. Between the fact that its two different metals back there from two different guns, and the weld itself, that it won't be uniform in color. Sometimes different steels take blue differently. If it looks awful I'll just paint it but fingers crossed it blues a consistent color.

Well honestly if it works that is 9 10ths of the battle. 
It is looking pretty nice now. I am sure you will spruce it up...
