Terrible news. I made a purchase from him a few years ago and was fortunate enough to personally meet him. He was a great asset to this forum and will be missed. RIP brother.

I actually had a hard time sleeping last night since hearing about rent. I'll miss him and the too few times we shared lunch at Sonny's. I just can't still believe that he's gone, it played on my mind last night and i couldn't sleep. We always think we will have tomorrow until there is no tomorrow. As someone said I do hope his family reads this post to know just how much his death has impacted us and how closely no matter the friendly spats we've had over the years it was all in jest. Mark was family to all of us. RIP my friend and we will one day meet again :(

I was coming by his shop once with wife and I pointed out rent to her and said what a great guy he was. I wanted to stop and introduce my wife to him. But as always we were in a hurry to get home and I knew she was tired. I should've could've but didn't and i will always regret that. I will miss his deeply.

Reading the many posts here, rent impacted many of us and made impressions on many of us. Because he could not help but do so. Rent was like a backbone we all leaned on at times at times and he was never to busy to listen. Good night my old friend may God bless you. I'll say a prayer for you

Rest in peace Rent, you were one of the good ones
I found an excellent gun control law we should all follow. It's called the Second Amendment.

RIP BROTHER

Was definitely a stand up guy. He built a couple AR's for me.

Met him once a long time ago, at a FSN get together.

He will, without a doubt be missed.

Rent was truly an FSN legend.
Those of us who never had the opportunity to meet him in person, were nevertheless touched by his presence on this site.
He is missed.

Damn, I log on here today and see this
I had the pleasure of meeting Mark several times and each time was a pleasure.
He was knowledgeable, funny and kind.
He will be missed.
RIP Mark and my sincere condolences to the family.
You may not be of my flesh and blood, but you are of my heart and soul.
