It's an arduous process arguing with people who support more gun control. Most of the time, it requires getting past layers of logical fallacies and flat-out untruths to get to the heart of the matter, which is that they wish the Second Amendment didn't exist.

The only way you can get gun confiscation passed is to allow the repeated murder of school kids.
You pass measures to enhance school safety and active shooter training and if the people in charge are either cowards or have a terminal case of dumb ass, there is nothing anyone can do.
The other thing is most people aren't qualified to raise kids.
