...and here I thought Georgia sorted out their Satan issues with a fiddle competition? I guess they needed to add some property destruction to the menu and not be left out like the Northern or West Coast states.

Depends who did the destroying. The parts about "fair laws" and "avoid petty laws and useless officials" might have drawn the ire of certain quarters.

The ownership of the monument and land was transferred to the county shortly after it was put up. Which is why it got demolished quickly after the bombing caused a hazardous condition, I'm sure they were tired of all the drama from it anyway.
