So, how should we be preparing for this "election"?

Post by tector »

I am not soliciting any posts advocating anything illegal or "kinetic." If you fed-post, I'll just assume you are just that, a Fed. Or a total moron.

The two most obvious results are:

Harris "wins," life goes on. We have a hugely anti-gun commie president.
Trump wins, life goes on. We have a tepidly pro-gun president at best.

However, there are other scenarios which I give nonzero chances. These include, but are not limited to:

1. Trump wins, and there is enormous political violence thereafter, like the Summer of St. George squared. Obviously your concern about this will vary depending where you live. At least we have a solid governor here in Florida--the NG will be out where needed at the first sign of trouble. People in cities (and shitty suburbs) in commie states, good luck.

2. Trump wins, and he is prevented from taking office by what is effectively a coup. A coup here in the U.S. of A., you say? Well, in case you missed it, you just had a de facto coup deposing Biden without any discussion of it whatsoever in the MM. That would be impossible with Trump, of course--by definition, it will be very noticable.

3. At some point in the process, the Left finally succeeds in killing Trump, as they have now tried twice. What that entails, who knows?

4. At some point in the process, the psychopaths who govern us get their wish--either as a means to another goal (like canceling an election), or as an end in itself--and we are embroiled in direct warfare with Russia. How far that goes, who can say? (Which, obviously, is the chief reason to avoid such things). If this went full-bore nuke, well, nice knowing you.

Feel free to add other possibilities you may see.

I bring this up because I saw a gun friend this weekend. He lives in Miami-Dade County. He's solidly pro-2A, and has like 30 guns: all handguns and milsurp stuff. No ARs, AKs, or (shockingly to me) even a shotgun. I'm like, "Dude, you need to gun up a bit. Now." Anybody in MDC or similar such situations here in FL needs to be riot-prepared. Yes, DeSantis would get the NG out as needed, but that is a solution (and maybe just a partial one) that works in like 48+ hours. Until then, you need effective deterrence of your own. Frankly, everybody in FL, due to hurricanes, should already have this minimal level of prep in place. In fact, aside from guns, your worst-case hurricane prep already in place may put people in Florida in a much better position than folks in other states.

You bring up some great points. Gun-wise you’re right. I’m sure everyone on this board is pretty set by now, but I still see lots of so called gun people that only have a few boxes of ammo and a couple mags as their stockpile. Let’s be honest, ammo, mags, and accessories are pretty much the cheapest they’re gonna get. 9mm is $12 per box and 5.56 brass is $0.40 per round. Everyone should have a case of each put away for a rainy day. At this point it’s beginning to scream the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

If Trump loses, you’ll see prices jump overnight. Not saying it will mimic 2020 or Sandy Hook levels, but it’s heading north fairly quickly. It just makes sense to have a little extra in reserves. I think body armor may be a wise investment as well just based on how things may be heading. I could definitely see an EO signed in the wee hours of the morning banning civilian ownership if you know who wins.

Aside from the 2A stuff, just like hurricane season it’s wise to have some extra water and food in the cupboard in case it gets a little sideways for a bit and leaving the house becomes the second best option after staying put.

I'll add another possibility.

The Kommies will cheat. They know exactly which swing states and which precincts they need to cheat. They seemed to have maintained the laws in those locations to help them facilitate cheating. They just have to keep printing/counting ballots till they have enough if a recount were ordered. And of course they use electronic voting machines where the outcome is already predetermined.

So now the question becomes will the cheating be uncovered and sent to the courts intervene?

If the courts intervene, they are stacked with Kommunists so the outcome is assured. Unless it quickly goes to the Supreme Court which is doubtful.

The question is, can this turn into a new type of hanging chad election like in 2000, this time where the cheating before the election becomes recognized as an an official Banana Republic Election?

My "Harris wins" meant she is declared the winner. I did not mean to infer anything about actual vote totals. I admit to being unclear on that. I've edited it to put her "wins" in quotes.

The Supreme Court is essentially the same as it was late 2020, except one liberal left, replaced by even more extreme liberal, if that answers any of your other questions.

Now, you know why I pulled my gold off the market. I have things I need for defense and trade. I'm hanging on the means to buy.

I understand, for sure.
