Thanks for your answers. I have more or less narrowed it down to the Shield, Springfield and the Glock 43. Unfortunately, the Glock is the only one I can rent. I have big hands so I really would have to add an extended plus 2 baseplate to comfortably and securely get a good grip unless I the extended mag that come with the Shield and Springfield. My pinky is about on it then.

I can't afford two 9mm pistols but I am concerned about my grip. I am 6'1" and 220 lbs. I don't know if I should maybe be looking at a "compact" rather than "sub compact" because a larger pistol would give me better grip purchase which I is the most important vs capacity to me.

I carry a P229R, forward of hip/AIWB.

The G19/G26 is really hard to beat as a "I own 1 pistol" pistol. I'm not sure I'd want a micro compact or sub compact as my "go to" handgun.

Dang! I wish I had a smaller gun that held less cartridges!

Just recently moved back Florida and haven't obtained my CCL, so no carrying right now. Prior the Glock 19 was my go to and will be again when I get my license here. Because of all this humidity I'm looking togo single stack though.

I carry a G-43, 4-5 oclock, with a kydex trigger guard thingy.
Forgot the name but it has a cord that I loop around my belt.

My "less is better than nothing" is a Seecamp 32 in a pocket holster.
Usually my right butt cheek pocket :D
