I can speak to Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco. They encourage it. As other above have mentioned there are others. Same. I normally will meet at one of the Sheriff's Office sub-stations. Safe spot to meet. And if they have an issue with meeting there it's an automatic red flag and I pass on meeting them.
Over the years I've had one no-show which isn't bad. Normally I meet some good people and have even chatted after the deal a few times.
Interesting. Do the Sheriff's sub-stations normally allow this for anyone or do you just know someone there? Is this something they generally do? Which Sheriff's office are you referring to?
