I can't believe people still drive without insurance. My license was suspended once because I failed to insure a Dodge Caravan I had scrapped the previous year.

I'm glad you're alive. I hope you're able to get back to work soon. That sounds rough.

So, I met with the Deputy State Attorney this morning. I don't think he likes me very much. I did my best to punk him into restoring the felony charges, to the point of telling him to grow a set of balls. No such luck. Although the legislative intent is clear, making a distinction that habitual offenders should be subject to felony charges, he pointed out that the Florida Supreme Court overturned similar in 94 and that he wouldn't seek felony charges even if I died. Yeah, that bought him the label of Coward. The best I can hope for is for her to get 1 year in jail.

We'll see how things go next week in court.
