AUG licensed derivatives

Post by REDinFL »

Do the AUGs licensed derivatives, can’t remember the manufacturer names but they are about half the cost of an AUG, have interchangeable barrels as did the original AUG? Trigger groups interchangeable?

I’ve been thinking about going “down” to 5.56 so I could have a rifle the wife could handle. So, evaluating alternatives.

Thanks

Are you thinking about MSAR (Microtech STG-556)? I believe they are out of production, had mixed reviews too.

Currently available Steyr Aug M2 dip into $1600s when on sale.

If you not going to suppress it, Tavor X95 might be worth a look (does not have AGB). Also Springfield Hellion, some complain about LOP though.

Better try before you buy too, bullpups are not for everybody.

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I’m trying to downsize, reduce calibers. One rifle, multiple functions. May or may not be the solution.
