Another Florida business owner probably about to be charged with murder

Post by zeebaron »

"Still wearing the rings, the teen pushed an employee out of the way and ran out of the store. Then he got into the passenger's side of an SUV.

Surveillance video shows the other store owner, 57-year-old Michael Dacey, fire a shot at the vehicle, which hit the suspect in the head."

Forcible felony, looks like a good shoot. Don't see how he can be charged.

I dont think so, how is the guy a threat running away from the point of theft without any threatening gestures

The robber didn't have a weapon and was running away. No threat there.
The owner chased the fleeing robber outside of the business. He wasn't in danger at the time of the shooting. Also the owner shot into an occupied vehicle. I thought this was illegal to do.
I do believe this is not a good shoot and may turn out bad for the owner.

no sympathy for thieves, but bullet could have easily missed and hit
a car in traffic or the business across the street !

the guy was fleeing and there is no mention the kid
was armed
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools !

Without a weapon present I don't see how this can be construed as a good shoot,no way no how. I say the shop owner is in for a world of grief, he's going to find out his cost would be a lot cheaper to have lost the ring.

Yeah owner in a world of shit for this one. Cannot believe he actually fired at that car with all that background traffic.

No sympathy for the victim either.

I wouldnt have shot. Reality is that he can be charged and if he doesnt get charged the family will sue him for possibly taking the life of their innocent son and how he didnt have to die over that..... blah blah blah

I watched this on the local news, & was surprised the employee was not arrested. While the crook was a $cumbag, he was no threat to anybody while he was escaping. Sure, he got what he deserved, but I'm waiting for the employee to be arrested. GARY
