It's partially for Federal job prospects.

And I've been heavily reading news in NM since the election, the people there are very not onboard with Grisham outside of Albuquerque. They want to embrace socialism less than the population centers in Florida do, at any rate. It's extremely unfair to say they're going left faster than FL when most of the elected officials there are fighting tooth and nail against the governor.

At this very moment I am in a Las Vegas CWP class, where the instructor--discussing a bunch of recently passed commie laws--made the same point about Las Vegas and the rest of NV that you just made about ABQ and the rest of NM. I think you are rationalizing the overall picture--if you look at NM overall, which includes ABQ, it is not good and getting worse.

I would look for a state NOT desirable to Californians and eastern retirees. NM is both.

Oklahoma, for example, would be a state that has little of both of those.

Good luck anyway.

I appreciate it. Fortunately or unfortunately my plans are already locked in. If the state is as bad or gets worse, I can probably leave within a year. I'm going to try to get a job with ICE, I hate Florida, and the part of NM I'm going to has seasons and usually doesn't get warmer than 85. I would love to be able to move back to Colorado but that doesn't seem likely unless someone deletes Denver and Boulder.

It is getting harder and harder to find states that look "safe" long-term. Eventually, I fear, this will be reflected in federal legislation and then these state distinctions won't matter much. But I am a pessimist.

Since when do Cabinet members independently propose changes to legislation in direct opposition to the Governor's policies?

Happens all the time when they are of different parties. The voters are to blame.

She can suggest all she wants. She’ll hear crickets from the GOP supermajority

You say that as if most of them haven't proven to be RINOs.

You’re a realist. The dawn of a new Amerika is already breaking over the horizon.
