How about we just keep Standard Time & let your you and employer decide your schedule? Some of us are early risers & some not so much. If you're self employed, you already set your own schedule which probably only runs to 12- 18 hours a day, so no help there.
However, this will just take some serious pain out of Rush Hour traffic in heavily populated areas... and wasn't the whole idea behind DST adoption nationwide to save "energy" during the gov't created "gas crises" (crisises?)? Look how much we'd save on gas or fuel wasted by idling in standstill traffic?
It'll never happen, I know. makes too much sense.
