I think it's a bad idea taxpayer will fit yet another bill very disappointed in our government between this and how they handle the virus trying to be in control and not have test kits available. Sad when Korea has its shit together and we don't as a country and every American has to hoard supplies the media did not help as always just a sad ass sight to see as an American we used to be great not anymore and this is proof right here.
Well said lakelandman, I agree.

That isn't a problem for me
My TV is connected to three devices; my computer (to watch downloaded news clips from The Naked News), my PS4 to play Diablo III, and my DVD player which is very rarely turned on. Very little of the news I see is about covid19. Mostly, I read the news I find interesting, on the Associated Press web site.

Yes, exactly so.
Just another brick in the wall.
We’ve had socialism in the United States since 1865 and the Reconstruction of the post-war South.
The latest acts of government are just a continuation of the same authoritarian centralization of power, now extended down to the state, county and city level.
The outcome today was guaranteed by the outcome of the War Against Secession. It will continue to get worse as even more control is given to government by a willfully ignorant population more concerned with a false sense of security provided by their government over individual freedom.

I hope we all proclaim we spent this money on firearms and ammunition and sing it from the hill tops thanking the democrats for assuring we are even better armed than ever before
Churchill said: "There is nothing that the government can give you that they have not first taken from you" {sic}
Tell you lefty socialist friends you are not getting anything from the government.
They are just returning some of what you have already given them and then say the money they (socialist) are getting is also from the money you gave the governemnt so they should be thanking you for providing the funds for them to suck off of and then of course remind them you used all that was sent on ammo for later

I'm going to spend it on trying to not be homeless after my income was cut off, possibly permanently, because of the quarantines.

Let's see.
US population about 310 million bodies. Includes all the illegals, and non-taxpayers.
Bill was about $2T
That makes it $15,384 for each "body" in the US.
But each taxpayer that makes under $75k will get $1,200 and families under $150k get $2,400.
So the rest goes to the Libiturd causes, State gooberment bailouts, Business bailouts and stockpiles to sit in Gooberment warehouses.
And that is not counting all the $ the Federal Reserve just printed out of thin air for "liquidity" that went to buy corporate bonds and other financial insturments. Come to think of it the Bill just printed $ too - sold bogus T-Bills to the Fed which prints the $.
Just sayin' so you can see who the real winners are. And sure, we get enough to buy a couple decent guns or a crate of your favorite ammo. But just a token so we taxpayers won't see who the real winners are. And it ain't us.

I agree, I would like someone to ask each politician how that math works out if the bill was designed to be s bailout for the "american" person, not all of the pork barrel crap.
