If you don't mind living in a Venezuela environment go ahead and give up. I too get tired of the crap, but I look at what we could be living like and find I like living here a lot better even with its flaws. Just did in and vote for the good and not the perfect.
That goes without saying but we lose when we start playing these games with the Libs which are ruthless and play dirty. If we wanna win it the politicians on our side need to roll up their sleeves, get in the gutter and get ready for a brawl.
That's what I had in mind, I guess I didn't express myself very well.

Actually, there is a perfectly good argument to just have things go to Venezuelan level shit because only then will you have the conditions on the ground for real change--as opposed to this death by a thousand cuts. So don't tempt me.
What the hell do you think the welfare state is all about?
We will wind up just like Venezuela in the long run, because socialism has already taken root in this country. Anyone serious about preventing Venezuela from happening here should be demanding an end to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the rest of the 2200+ taxpayer-funded subsidy/welfare programs.

This is not how the “General Welfare” clause in the Constitution was intended to be interpreted, as countless Constitutional researchers and scholars have pointed out.

Someone I heard on the radio this morning said they’re just waiting on the Democrats to drag someone Kavenaugh knew back in kindergarten in to testify before Congress that he gave them cooties.

The problem with this is that too many people have put too much of their hard earned $$$ into Social Security by means of FICA taxes. So they want to realize their reward for that. It is often said that Social Security is the "third rail of politics.... touch it and you die...:" Too late to get rid of it... not unless you want a revolt even bigger than any attempt to abolish 2A....

See, that’s the problem with socialism...one you get a critical mass of recipients of taxpayer-funded welfare, no one wants to be the first one pulled off the teat.
Gotta say, half the productive population working to provide welfare payments to the unproductive half is not sustainable and leads to societal collapse—always.
I’ve already been notified by the SSA to prepare for a 24% reduction in benefits by the time I reach retirement age. I’m betting it’ll be reduced by half. The irony here is my social security taxes will double between now and then. That’s correct, pay double into the system and get half out. Yep, I earned it, all right. Ha ha ha...Image

Well, when we now have senators and congressmen who state on television that the accused has no right to the presumption of innocence and must "prove" innocence in the face of allegations which can not be substantiated we have to realize the constitution is in serious trouble. We have forsaken justice and the rule of law for the court of public opinion as determined by the media and the progressives. We recently appointed two justices who think the constitution is a living document which must reflect the changing times and definitions. The bedrock of civilization is being eroded by liberal revisionism. I have no problem with balancing that with a couple of originalists.

Vote, this week, and end this farce. Again, this is THE litmus test for the GOP for me. Get it done or get lost.

Dems are trying to say Kavananaugh is guilty now based on body language. You know, cause its not incredibly stressful to get dragged through the mud on false accusations.
