Did not know this. But it does have a small Shaped charge in projectile. Must be for cars, trucks ect......maybe for hitting track in engine area.
For the 203, we used a lot of HEAT rounds (High Explosive, Anti-Tank.) Yes, they had a mini shape charge in them.
These m203 rounds would penetrate a tank. WOW I did not have those when I was in. But of coarse that was a while back. Old scroll do the math
