These ass clowns are all over Florida Gun Trader. I only do FTF with the exception of a trade with a guy I know on GT where both pistols went through FFL's.

FGT is out of hand...... no issues with buyers, but it seems that about 30% of the sellers with stuff I'm interested in are scams..... The easiest way to tell is if they are actually listing something at a reasonable price ......you'll know it's a legit ad if the price is 150% of MSRP or greater.Deputydave wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 11:16 am These ass clowns are all over Florida Gun Trader. The last WTB ad I posted over there resulted in 100% scam replies
I don't do a lot of on line gun shopping. Last was a Wilson in 2020. After a chat asked for an pix with our text in the background.
That has always been my safety last stop.
Damn. That picture with Miami would have fooled me.
For now on it is FFLs only with history and a picture.
Thank You !! for posting that picture it would have fooled me.

Only handing over cash in person would've stopped the "Miami" scammer.
Many of the online scammers use the FFL# and address of an obscure dealer who doesn't have a big online presence.

Have been here since 2009(?) I've made personal friends here, and also bought and sold without issue. I had a pair of deals on the old FGT site years ago, one I thought was going to devolve into a gunfight in a Home Depot parking lot at lunch, and another where the buyer said that he was only buying it from me to kill himself with. Hard pass, fellas, sorry.Jeepsnguns wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 9:55 pm Lots of assholes out there.
Must be cautious about who one deals with.
Slightly off topic but I've been a member on FSN since 2006 and dealt with many folks here.
I've never, ever had a negative experience with an FSN'er.
FSNers though, no grief at all.
Florida gun trader requires a FTF transaction only or it's just not worth the hassle. There seems to be an implosion of scammers lately everywhere as if they're coming out of a black hole.
FGT scammers are not that hard to spot. Refusal to provide a phone #, newly activated account, numerous listings, refusal for a FTF are a few.
How many issues have any of you had on FSN ?
Three can keep a secret.......if two are Dead !
None. I've done quite a few deals with folks on here. All were great people.
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a Single Star.
I have several members here who say "I'll take it" and I just ship it out on their word and they pay whenever they feel like it.
Never had wait long.
