Having seen what Andrew did, once you lose your roof or garage door, you pretty much lose everything. CBS means a LOT when it comes to Cat 1 through 3, after that if your garage door isn't specifically protected and your roof isn't most current code then you are probably going to lose.

True enough, but as I remember it Andrew was a freak. Storm surge generally does the most damage from hurricanes. Andrew was slow moving an did most of its damage from wind, it is why the insurance companies all took a huge bath. They cover wind, but not storm surge (for just that reason).
