Regarding AAA - I thought one needed an upgraded Gold membership to get them to tow you 100 miles anywhere you wanted to go. A regular membership has different rules.
I HAD their top tier membership with RV coverage.

I pay $1.05 a month to have it added to my State Farm car insurance for their brand roadside assistance. I've used it once because of a failed starter. Towed me back home 3 miles away. No charge.

I have State Farm also.
They are talking the same shit as the rest of them.
What does roadside assistance cover?
Towing to the nearest repair location if the covered vehicle is not drivable.
What is NOT covered.
Towing costs beyond what it would cost to tow your vehicle to the nearest repair facility.
I suspect if you were 30 miles from home instead of 3 miles, it would have been a different story.

Well, I don't really worry about it TBH. You should be worried even less, because you just got dropped and billed (likely illegally) no matter what your contract stated. I just figure any expenses they don't decide to cover, if that time actually comes when they don't, is worth paying only $13 a year for. How much were you paying a year? A lot, I bet...and they still fucked you.

A lady from Good Sam just contacted me and explained how that works.
If they determine that the nearest authorized shop is, say 8 miles away, they will tow you 8 miles in any direction.
Anything over that is on you.

If the RV needs tires they fix it and will drag it, if the truck dies the leave the RV and tow the truck, send another truck for the RV and charge appropriately.
