I live in Ft. Myers. I am very much a 2nd Amendment supporter. I am a combat decorated USAF veteran who has voted Conservative/Republican/Libertarian my whole life. You should probably work on your people interpretation skills some more as you entirely missed the mark on what you think I am. I don’t agree with this law, however I do agree with the Rule of Law. I don’t agree when lawyers get rapists, drug dealers, and gang thugs off simply because the lawyers know the law better than the prosecutors, but I respect the outcome because I respect the system. My position is: if you don’t like a current law then work to change the law.

Look I've nothing against you and thank you for your service. I was an ARMY RANGER and FIREFIGHTER PARAMEDIC.

I have issues of corrupted political leaders using our laws unjustly and against us. By twisting them in a manor that works in their favor I will hammer on it too. This mayor did this to protect rioters and hurt legal businesses.

Because this law will not benefit anyone. Instead it has hurt honest people. Can these stores claim loss of income under corona BILL. I doubt it. Yet this liberal pieces of crap. Used his position as mayor to abuse a law in a way it was never meant to be used.

Just like his fellow idoit leaders in blue states have and still are doing in states up North. To impose power over law abiding citizens and attacking state laws and businesses they despise.

As stated this is the first time in my memory that this law has ever been used and abused by any county or city here and it's done by liberals. It will not stop any incident from happening if it's going to.

The only thing it accomplished was to send a message to these ANTIFA rioters/thugs. Hey look we banned citizens from protecting themselves by imposing this law. So come here we will protect you from law abiding citizens who might attempt to protect themselves in WPB.

This Mayor basically publicly declared a safe zone for rioters to loot, burn and cause havoc.

Unlike SHERIFF Grady Judd' s message to rioters, 'If you value your life, don't come to Polk County': Sheriff Judd warns rioters, looters. "If you try to break into their homes and businesses to steal, to set fires, I'm highly recommending they blow you back out of their with their guns." or something to that effect. He backed businesses also and did not restrict gun businesses or residents of Polk county from being able to defend themselves in public. Also Florida has not had riots anything near what this LIBERAL SOCIALIST Mayor described.

This is a sopposely elected official, elected by local residents to represent them. Who found a law that's never been imposed and used it. Not to protect the voters and residents, but used it as a weapon against honest law abiding citizens. To protect those that are breaking the laws.

Breaking the 1st Admendment. Which states PEACEFULLY PROTEST. What is stupid is it's just in the city limits. It stops nothing. People will come from outside the city. Yes if firearms are exposed. We already have laws pertaining to that. Hence conceal carrying. Not open carrying.

Further more to say a business should have known better. Known what? That some crazy gun hating mayor would abuse a laws and essentially shut them down. To protect rioters. Because protesters have zero to worry about. I encourage peaceful protests.

But technically with this Mayor. If you are caught with a firearm concealed as it should be. You will be arrested and weapon illegally confiscated. If you are stopped in your car and have a weapon lawfully stored or carried. You will be arrest and weapon confiscated. Even if the LEO under the law says they can't. They will do what they are told to do by This Mayor and make you pay the courts and lawyers to prove him wrong.

This is wrong in so many ways. No this is a law that should not be followed. Because it's wrong. It puts lives in danger, not protect lives. Well it does protect ANTIFA rioters lifes. The Mayor basically advertised that nationally.

Liberal SOCIALIST EXTREMISTS do not care about any law. They will abuse it and even violate the laws. Then later let the courts sort it out while people suffer in the mean time. The United States Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land.
In order for a law to be valid, it has to pass the Constitutional sniff test. There are many laws so-called conservative legislators put into force that directly contradict the Constitution’s core purpose of limiting government power over the citizens of the United States.
Whatever the central mission of conservatives is, it surely does not include limited government and fiscal responsibility.
I’m not surprised by the overreach of those inside the government. What surprises me is how swiftly the boot has been applied and the unquestioning compliance shown by the majority of Americans.
By violence or bankruptcy—likely, both—will we fall into the muddy pit of history. If history is written by the victors, who will emerge in the aftermath to write ours?

Exactly, if we do not speak out against this TYRANNY no matter who commits these acts of treason against the CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS. Democrat or Republican they will continue until they've regulated our rights away.

The BILL OF RIGHTS by law can not be regulated except in a prescribed manor. Which involves The people. Not just our self righteous elected officials who lied to us to get elected and then manipulate our very rights to use against us if we disagree with their actions.

The BILL OF RIGHTS was put into place as a means to recognize our rights. RIGHTS that were suppose to be untouchable by elected representatives we put into office to speak on our behalf. Agree. It needs to go to SCOTUS.

Not being a smart ass. But what needs to go to the SCOTUS.

If anything it needs to be addressed in state by the ATTORNEY GENERAL and GOVERNOR.
