Is it THAT much better that someone would drive around trying to find some over just reaching onto a shelf in their kitchen?
OP asked for the best. Flax seed oil is definitely the best. Especially if you cook at higher temperatures.

GNC has it

Let me tell you that vegetable oil at 350 degrees for an hour is a bad idea, it got a little smokey and the fam was bitching about their eyes burning. I did get 5 pieces done. I’ll try the flax oil.

I used hot water, Dawn, and fine steel wool to knock down the rust. Some other pots have more rust that will take a long time to knock down with steel wool. Would blasting them with soda be ok? I use soda on my silencer baffles.

Flax (a.k.a. linseed) oil dries/hardens/polymerizes on the surface for a tough finish, and is food safe:

did this then seasoned and it's amazing although i wouldn't do it
to anything with any value. i used a new $20 Lodge 12" pan from
Walmart and an 80 grit flap disk.

READ-Ditch the Flax Seed Oil. Peanut oil is the best bang for the buck.

Seasoning cast iron has nothing to do with the oil's smoke point. Peanut oil does not give a nice polymerized non-stick coating like linseed oil, it just leaves a gooey/sticky residue. I know, I tried lots of oils/fats.
