If it is not a crime then why is there a $250 fine for doing so.
“in Florida as of 2009, if you illegally park in a designated handicapped-parking space, you can be fined up to $250. If you use the permit of a disabled friend, relative or acquaintance, you can be fined up to $1000 and/or receive six months of jail timeâ€.
Reference: Florida Statute 316-1955
Enforcement of parking requirements for persons who have disabilities
It's not a criminal act. It's an infraction.
So...not a crime.

If you walked out of the store and saw some dick-wad yelling/wagging his finger at your wife, what would you do?
I surely would not have violently shoved the guy to the ground in the first place and if I had, I surely would not have continued to attack him while he was down.
He didn't "continue to attack".

I agree it's not a crime to park in a handicap spot. But it is a crime to violently attack another for pointing out that what they are doing is wrong. That attack was VIOLENT

If you knocked him to the ground you could be arrested for assault and jailed. So keep a lid on your temper or you may end up the next "victim".

And that's how this should have been handled. Nonetheless, "parking lot cop" started it and hopefully will be charged by the State.
Charged with what? Watch the video again. The thug stood over him, and actually made a "football move" towards him (0:13) until he pulled the gun. At that point he was already in fear of his life. Good shoot.
Bullcrap !
He was headed back toward the guy he pushed on the ground while pulling his pants up and he started to backup ONLY when he saw the guy had pulled his gun.
I'd have to say self-defense IMO.
