Supreme Court declines to stay Trump's bump stock ban

Several gun rights groups had sought to have the federal ban on bump stocks, which went into effect on Tuesday, stayed pending litigation in lower federal courts in several states.
Today, the Supremes said "nope" and so tens of thousands of bump stock owners must choose whether to keep them in violation of the law, risking up to 10 years in prison, until the court cases play out, or comply and dump them in the river. (Florida, of course, already banned them as of Oct. 1st last year.)
