Broward to Lakeland?

Post by Tenzing_Norgay »

Gotta go to Bartow this week or next. Anyone need anything picked up/delivered? (Sorry...no weed, meth or Chinese nationals. ) Turnpike ----> 60.

Also, is anyone aware of clean truck-stops or rest areas along the route? Missus has a walnut-sized bladder and I know we'll have to make multiple stops...

Thx.

There is a brand new WaWa right of 95 in Vero (Rt. 60)

They open a brand new Pilot outside Bartow Travel Center 7990 FL-60 E, Bartow, FL 33830.
Everybody's got a plan until they get hit.

There's a whole bunch of nothing between Yeehaw Junction & Lake Wales on SR60. Make sure she's completely empty before you hit that stretch.

I'm a member of the American Legion and I make a list before I leave so I know. They almost all have clean loos. If you are not a member, I'm sure they would not turn you down for a pit stop...just check their hours of operation.

Damn "love bugs"!

Took me longer to clean the truck than it did to drive there and back. Had to stop mid-way on the return to clean the windshield... couldn't see out. :x

Those love bugs will KILL your paint job if you leave them on in the hot sun. I made that horrible mistake last May (2018) and ruined a perfect car. I visited my sister in Marion County... love bugs swarming all the way up the turnpike. Arrived, happy to see and hug everyone and completely forgot the bugs. When I left to go home, the paint damage was already etched in. (life lesson #218544211 for me) Don't be me !
