USMC Birthday party

Post by knite7 »

Sharky's bar & Pub at 10365 Royal Palm Blvd, Coral Springs, FL 33065 will be hosting the USMC Birthday on Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 6:00 PM. I have gone 3 years running and can say that the food and attendance is excellent. At least a hundred former Marines and their guests. Classic Birthday: cutting of the cake, oldest/youngest Marine, Commandant's message and a chance to meet up with old friends.

The best vintage Crayola, aged like fine wine.

When we went for our initial physicals, all the branches were co-mingled at the processing center. We hadn't yet left for boot camp, so there were no uniforms to tell who was who.

We knew immediately who was signing up for the Army when the doc said "Drop your skivvies and spread your cheeks", the Army recruits did this...

We Marines are constantly being reminded by sailors that the USMC is actually a department of the Navy.

True. We're the men's department... ;)
