Non-trail Trail Camera?

Post by Tenzing_Norgay »

Client wants a camera to document who is really clocking in at the time-clock. Apparently employees are clocking each other in when someone is late.

I suggested a trail camera, but most look like trail cameras. Is anyone aware of a trail camera that isn't so "trail" looking (e.g. camouflage, etc.)?

I've never used it, so check reviews, but this ridiculous as seen on TV thing came to mind:
Atomic Beam Cop Cam

May be all you need, all in $20 from Ace Hardware.

Unless this is a rare isolated thing, why not just throw an actual camera watching the clock?

As with a lot of my clients who have $$$, they're cheap-asses.

Just get a fake one and let everyone know why its there and what its looking for.

With a real one, they're going to need to hire a new employee just to compare footage against who punched in/out and when.

Looking at security cam footage really is more tedious than you might think.

No Shit?

That's pretty much what I was trying to say, hence the suggestion that a new employee might be required to deal with the tedium.

Buy a standard security camera. He should have them anyway. Or occasionally hang around and watch.

Client needs proof to terminate employees. Looking for something other than a standard video cam/system.

Fingerprint time clocks solves this problem. No covert crap needed.
