Captiva or St Pete

Post by mohshard »

My wife and I are considering a weekend away next Friday through Monday. We're currently in Broward, and have been doing everything we can to avoid the Covid as I am an electrician and she is a hospital worker. She however has gone stir-crazy and needs to get out of the house. If you had to vacation at a resort in Captiva that had its own private pool, or in St Pete at a hotel near the beach what would my West Coast Brethren choose?

The other option is a camping trip in the mountains of Georgia, however so many people are up from Atlanta I'd rather avoid it.

Are you kidding, Captiva is the best! South Seas is the place if you can afford it!

Only caveat is that this time of year it rains a lot so you can go stir crazy and there is nothing to do around there but have sex!
Ah that's one thing about our Flame, doesn't play any favorites! Flame hates everybody!

I'm in same situation as you right now.
I'm taking my family to Pine Island for a week.
Kids and I can fish everyday.

My vote is for the Palm Island Resort in Englewood. You take a short ferry ride to the island, park your car and then get around by electric golf cart. Excellent snook fishing off the beach.

If you can afford it, go to South Seas Island Resort in Captiva. It's expensive (a weekend for 2 is going to run about $1,200) - too rich for my blood - but it would make for a very fun weekend.

I think they have a "buy 3 nights, get the 4th night free" offer.
