Why is every freaking shooting in this state framed in "Stand your ground."
As if stand your ground is some bizarre law. Basically all it says is, you can defend your life. How is that controversial? (except for the loony Left).

Hopefully, family, friends, and protestors that support the person shot don't get the State Atty to prosecute in this case.

Because "Stand Your Ground" is the iconic "catch phrase" term regarding self-defense that caught the ear of the sheeples and got them all frenzied and wanting to fight against it... which is what the MSM and the antis want. It's a lot easier to say "Stand Your Ground" and invoke all the negative imagery associated with it (most of which being manufactured by the Fake News MSM), than it is to say "Justifiable use of Deadly Force," which, actualy, seems to sound a bit more positive and reasonable. The MSM and antis sure don't want SD sounding reasonable. So any time they can paint an SD incident with the brush of "Stand Your ground," they'll do it to kick up all that negative imagery for the sheeples. They only thing we can do is do our best to educate the public as to what "Stand your Ground" really is. Just one small aspect of the whole "Justifiable Use" picture.

WFTV has the video of what happened, and I agree with Sheriff Judd.

If someone forcibly stops a car, walks back in a threatening manner, announces that they have a gun then clearly states their intention to use it, you dont sit there and wait for it to happen.

That's classic SYG right there even though the poor guy will probably get Zimmermaned anyway.
