Hurricane Laura

Post by Bmup »

Prayers outgoing to those in the path of Hurricane Laura - East Texas & West Louisiana coast. Winds are at 140 with major stormwater surges incoming. They will be in a "washing machine" shortly & it ain't gonna be good. We all know what shit like that's like.

Prayer helps.

It's a good reminder to check our own preps - we're only a little over halfway through the season and it's an active one.

Hurricane Michael taught me everything I needed to know about hurricane prep.

I keep my escape vehicle gassed and ready 24/7.

I could walk out the door right now, drive the 6 miles to I-75 and then go all the way to the middle of South Carolina before stopping for gas.

Food, water, weapons, ammo, tools, electric power, clothes, cash, toilet, shower, toaster oven, microwave.

Place to sleep? No problem!

Park almost anywhere!

The winch makes people think its some kind of service van and they don't give it a second glance! 8-)

That's a great idea! My bug-out vehicle is a little less obvious...and I can make it from Stuart all the way to Port St. Lucie before having to refuel.
