Surprise neighbor/friends visits?

Post by Tenzing_Norgay »

Is it just me or is it unusual for people/friends to show up unannounced? Have two friends and one family member who think nothing of showing up when I'm in the shower, sleeping, on the sh*tter, doing laundry naked, doing "other activities" naked or just chilling after a long day.

I don't live out in the country and this isn't Mayberry R. F'ing. D.

All parties involved have smartphones and are young enough to know how to use them. I always text/call before showing up somewhere, unless it's a direct family member who is used to my visits (e.g. checking in on Mom).

This happen to, or bother, anyone else here?

My brother and his wife used to this it was funny to fly into Fl from their home in CT , get a hotel then drive over and show up in our driveway.
They don't do it anymore told them the last time if they did it again we would not be home them.

Gated property works pretty well. Of course, loud dogs do too.

Yeah...gates would be tricky here.

Measure from the curb to the front door = 50 feet.

If I get a Pit Bull and 49 feet of chain... :?

If they are ACTUALLY family and friends it's no big deal and they know the rules and regulations of dropping in. IF they want to order pizza, watch a movie and crash for the night....sure no problem.

But everyone else is isn't actually "family and friends" and this includes some blood relatives, call ahead and make an appointment like other ordinary people.

Always call rude to show up unannounced.
Everybody's got a plan until they get hit.

Hate when people show up with out calling or texting first , the only ones that get a pass are my mom and dad, even the inlaws know to call first.
