Window replacement options!

Post by Hammer »

Looking to replace windows that have been installed for 50 years. Any suggestion in the Central Florida Area?

Getting quotes from New South, Window World, and Pella windows. Anyone have any experience with those company's? Any suggestions, or do's or don'ts?

We're here in Winter Haven.
We used Window World 4 years ago to replace 9 of our single pane windows & 2 sliding glass doors.
Electric bill dropped & the noise dropped dramatically.
Took 1 day to complete.
We rec'vd estimates from FAS Windows/Doors & their $$$$ was almost twice the price.
****The new doors work very well & have a feature that didn't seem important at the time.
You can't lock the door (from the inside) if it's not in contact with the frame lock mechanism.
We replaced a sliding glass door 5 years earlier with one from Lowes & there's no comparison between them.
Window Worlds products seemed far better than the box store ones you can install yourself in both quality & look

We used Baxter Windows. They did stand behind them and came right back out when we had little problems with adjustments and such. But get ready for some sticker shock!

Don't be surprised if lead times are kind of long because the factories are not up to speed due to the China Virus.
Ah that's one thing about our Flame, doesn't play any favorites! Flame hates everybody!
