Best MOA red dot for a home defense shotgun

looking for opinions for a red dot scope, or any preferred sights for a home defense shotgun. thank you

Personally I don’t see the need for a sight on a home defense shotgun. I’d much rather have a flashlight on it of some kind so I can identify my target. Then if justified just point and shoot. I mean your shoot in feet not yards inside your house.

I wouldn't want a red dot on a home defense shotgun. No real benefit at inside-the-house distances, and might actually slow you down as you try to acquire the dot through groggy eyes. As pastorp said, a good light is essential - preferably one with a dual pressure switch for constant on vs. momentary on/off. Pair that with a set of night sights like XS or Meprolight - big enough so they'll be silhouetted when the weapon light is on, and bright enough to see when it's off.
