Yep. I mean Biden would have done it anyway, but it certainly provides precedent and cover.

Well, Trump supported Biden's AWB in the 90s. So they really are bipartisan.

I wonder if Trump will support similar legislation, now. Prior actions, such as you mention, concern me. Perhaps his "Second Amendment blah, blah" is just for politics. Of course, we all know what the potato wants to do.
I've made my own decisions, regardless of what the hacks dream up.

Trump treated the Second Amendment like Democrats treat Civil Rights. A carrot on a stick to lure voters and nothing more. When the voters votes, instead of getting the carrot, they're whacked with the stick.
We in GOA had to spend hard earned dollars that could have been spent on other things, but we had to spend it on fighting Trump's gun control. Those dollars could have been better spent fighting for things like Constitutional Carry in FL or going after the SAFE Act in NY.
