Anybody know a good gunsmith in the South or Central Florida area? Looking for someone who can cut a dovetail for a front sight on a Browning Hi-Power.
The slide is fairly thin. Need someone who knows what he's doing.
Gunsmith
Good luck with that, the last decent gunsmith I knew retired found here in South Florida over 10 years. The rest if the guys I have contacted want to think they are gunsmiths, but not by the definition of old.

South Florida Armory REPORTEDLY has a good gunsmith, but I havent' had him do any significant work. I bought a sporterized 1917 and had it transferred through the shop, and he looked down the bore and said "Has this been rechambered to .270?" And it had been. I was impressed.
I need a front sight installed on an M1 Carbine without damaging the parking, so I'm hesitant to trust that work to just anyone, myself.

Don @ Don’s guns in Ft. Myers. He built a few AK’s, & FAL’s for me back in the day. GARY.
Novaks? They'll machine a dovetail (for their sights only) for $50.
