Just acquired a lone wolf 400 CorBon barrel for my Glock 30 it's basically a necked down .45 same numbers as 10mm ..the caliber been around for awhile, never got very popular, a few ammunition companies still offer the round in 115, 135' 155 and 165 curious as to any if you learned fellas had any experience with this caliber, going to the range next week and put it through its paces ....

Your absolutely right on, checked evil bay today for reloading dies, fairly inexpensive, checked Ventura ammo, they sell 50 rounds for $43 that ain't too bad tho, $21.50 per 20 gotta try out the 400 CorBon ammo first b4 I get involved, got a few boxes of 135' 165 grain ammo and I've read some good things about how flat shooting the round is, going to the range soon and see for myself ....

I bought a .400 CorBon barrel for my Sig p220 (Browning BDA .45) a few years back, and some reloaded ammo, but I've never shot it. I'd even forgot I had it, till I saw your post. Now I don't even remember why I bought it.

I think I remember my reasoning now. I have several p220's in standard calibers (9mm, .38 super auto, and .45). One gun is 9mm but I also have a separate .38 super auto conversion barrel for that gun, so it's kind of 2 guns in one; I keep the conversion barrel and its matching mags in the same box as the 9mm and its mags. I thought it would be cool to have the same setup for one of the .45 handguns, to have it and the 400 Corbon as one kit.

45 Super is also a possibility. I'm looking at getting some for my HK USP 45 just to see how it shoots. Pretty much on par with 10mm but with heavier rounds.

id often wondered if you could take a 45 win mag and neck it to 10 or 9mm

Post a review when you do, I haven't shot any through a USP yet.

I picked another one up just after offering you the spare mag I had laying around, got a great deal I couldn't pass up.

Months back I was thinking of getting a Glock 21 and then a 10mm conversion barrel. A buddy on the SEP board recommended I look into 4 Super so I started doing some research. From all that I've gathered, the USP 45 can shoot 45 Super right from the box. A steady diet isn't recommended unless you go with a heavier recoil spring. Stock is 14lbs and up to a 20lb is recommended. For a limited diet, from the box appears to be fine.

Also, take a look at the 4th video in that post, the one about 45acp. The 45acp is quite popular in Alaska, my uncle had one during the 30 years he was up there. I might get a box of 45 Super at some point but honestly for Florida I feel fine with 45acp, 40 S&W and 357sig.
