Tonight is the first night I've been using my Resmed CPAP with the pillow nasal mask. Does anyone have any helpful information or tips on cleaning?

Usuallt soapy water is enough to clean everything once a week. I purchased a machine to clean the whole thing. The Snorflex CPAP Cleaner Pro. There are other machines too.

I don't use CPAP devices. I've tried two already and had very bad luck with them. It got to the point where I would not use them regularly, and Medicare regulations would require me to pay for it in full (they'd stop paying for it). So I turned them in.

What I use is this device. It helps by keeping your tongue from blocking your throat, causing snoring and sleep apnea and at only a fraction of the cost. You place the device in front of your teeth (your bite slightly open so your tongue can get through). You squeeze the bulb on the device with your fingers and, as you let go slowly, you stick your tongue inside the bulb. It should hold pretty well overnight.

I've been using a CPAP nightly for at least 10 years. I don't use water so cleaning isn't as critical. Weekly, I run water through the hose and mask by attaching it to the faucet and running hot water through it for a little while. I then squirt a bit of bleach in the hose and repeat. When done, hang it up in the shower. Easy peasy.

I've been using one since 2013. I really can't sleep without it anymore. Just clean out the water chamber, run soapy water through the hose and wipe down the pillow. If you can, get yourself a Cleanzone or similar cleaner that uses ozone, and use it once a week or so. You may also want to get a thin dish brush to clean out your water chamber when you're washing it too, and unfortunately you will need to replace the water chamber, hose and mask every once in a while.
